Joash & Emily

So, Ive been to ALOT of weddings! And don't get me wrong, I do love every one of them! But sometimes, there comes a rare gem of a thing, and this was Joash and Em's wedding. Yes, the groom was handsome, the bride was stunning - especially in her breathtaking Anna Campbell gown, the wedding was gorgeous, and it had all the makings of the usual fairytale, but this fairytale just had something a little more magical, and I feel like it was the "awesome human" element. Josh and Em are some of the most down to earth, generous, and humble people you could ever meet. Their families are just as beautiful - its not hard to see how they have been shaped into these gems. And they love God - boy do they love God. Prior to the ceremony, the pair had a moment of prayer - back to back so as to not ruin the "first look down the aisle" moment - and it was beautiful. Even the staff at the venue [Osteria Casaurina] commented on how absolutely special it was - and the bridesmaids were all shedding tears. The day wasn't a perfect sunny day, but it was actually perfect anyway - we had the most amazing sunset moment while taking photo's. One thing I loved (and its something I always recommend to my couples) is the first dance just after the bridal couple enter the reception... *sigh* followed by the Father-Daughter dance. As a mum of two girls, seeing Em tear up while she danced with her dad - well I had to look away before I got my ugly cry face happening! The reception style was long banquet tables, with banquet styled sharing of food, with so many laughs, and loads of swapping chairs / chatting to new people. To the new Mr and Mrs Barnes, it was an honour to witness this wonderfully magic day. Thank you so much for the privilege. May your lives forever be something kinda magical. So much love to you both! xxx
