Dylan + Katie

I actually didn’t meet Dylan and Katie in person until just a few weeks before their wedding at their location scout. Most of our communication was through Skype, facebook or email, BUT they were even more lovely in real life than I could imagine. The couple held their wedding at Melrose Station in Killarney - a beautiful and massive property that Katies parents used to manage before she was born [in fact, they used to LIVE In the house where she got dressed for her wedding! So cool!]. This property has so many great locations for both ceremonies and photo’s, it was kind of hard to narrow it down to just a few places for photos. Both Dylan and Katie looked exceptional on the day, Katie leaving me with love-heart eyes with her low back dress and gorgeous veil. The couple chose a stone wall with a round arch to hold their ceremony - what a spot! Photos were taken at the few places we selected, and with such a large bridal party - I only had to use mum mum voice once [or twice] to keep things going well. I have to say, I didn’t realise how much country music I could be subjected to in those 90 or so minute [Country music quota for the rest of the decade is filled]. During photos on one of the paddocks, in the far distance - it seemed like an entire heard of cattle was running across the background - what a sight! The couples reception was held in a marquee on the property, and was filled with the liveliest crowd - you would have thought it was one big family gathering [gotta love them country folk!]. Speeches were funny and heartwarming, and the party moved to a shed for the first dance under fairy lights and the infamous “shoe game”. Dylan and Katie, thank you so much for a wonderful day! I hope that the rest of your days are filled with sunset walks, belly laughs, and endless country love songs to dance to. Sending you so so much love!! Happy one month anniversary!! xx
